This event mixes continuing education, networking and FUN!

Continuing Education:

This year's continuing education aspect with be provided by Grindley Williams Engineering and consist of two 1-hour classes. (Louisiana P&C & Adj. CE credit applied for).

9:30-10:30 am - Forensic Assessment of Roof Damage. This session will equip insurance agents and adjusters with the knowledge to understand how structural engineers evaluate roof damage when determining cause and origin in property claims. Agents will learn to recognize key indicators of wind and hail damage versus non-storm-related issues, understand the characteristics of common roofing materials, and identify factors that impact roof performance and claim validity. The course will also cover essential questions to ask policyholders during roof damage investigations, helping agents better assess claims and communicate findings accurately

10:30-11:30 am - Batten Hatches - Storm Season Case Studies from Sally, Laura, Delta & Ida. Participants will explore real-world case studies from recent hurricanes—including Sally, Laura, Delta, and Ida—to understand common types of damage caused by wind pressure, storm surge, and debris impact. The course also reviews how the International Building Code applies to storm damage and repairability assessments. Upon completion, agents will be able to better identify storm-related damage patterns, understand repair and rebuilding considerations, and advise policyholders on storm preparedness and post-storm claim processes.
